Establo

Word of mouth brought us here. Nice place, it almost seems like an inn from times gone by, grilled meat specialities. The meat is very good, well cooked and seasoned. The quantity is right for me, but I think it wouldn't satisfy those who are used to eating a lot. The service was attentive, a little slow, but the place was full. I would see something again about desserts 😁.

After some years, last Sunday I went back to Establo. I have to say that my experience was really good. The waiters were really nice and professional, the food good and the location was really nice too. Thanks of all of that, I've spent a really nice afternoon eating a good lunch. The only suggestion I have is to renew the sign on the road. It's quite difficult to see it, even if it is big.

Everything, or almost, like it used to be. Let me start by saying that about 30 years have passed (I was still a kid) since I came to have lunch in this restaurant with my parents. Well, today, 30 years later and with my wife in tow, I returned to the Establo with curiosity, but above all with the confirmation that the quality of the time has been maintained over time. Starting from the welcome and then continuing with the actual lunch, everything went smoothly. Courtesy, quality, impeccable service and adequate prices make this restaurant worthy of note. The atmosphere inside the rustic-style rooms is convivial and very relaxing, also thanks to the smooth jazz music in the background, which is pleasant and absolutely not annoying. As for the food (photos follow) we opted for the tasting menu where you can taste all the delicacies properly prepared by the master braziers and chefs of this place. What about the wines? Well, the Barbera di Castellinaldo, chosen by us, was of excellent quality, so much so that 2 bottles were needed for 2 people! In short, not to go on too long, the quality-price ratio is excellent, always considering that you go out to eat quality grilled meat, accompanied with excellent wine and trust me, you leave with a nice full belly! Having said that, everything has remained as it once was, or almost, because as time passes there is a touch of innovation, but without damaging the pages of history that Establo continues to write after more than 40 years of activity. Congratulations to everyone, I highly recommend this restaurant and my wife and I will certainly be back soon.
